A newly established institution shall, within 30 days from the date of approval of its establishment, submit an application for social insurance registration to its social insurance agency and obtain a social insurance registration form with the approval document of the establishment department at the same level, the institution's legal person registration certificate, organization code certificate, legal person ID card, salary manual and details of the insured employees. Units transferred from the established system shall provide the social insurance relationship transfer form and the social insurance relationship transfer list of the insured payment unit issued by the social insurance agency in the transfer place, and receive the social insurance registration form. Social insurance agencies set up social insurance registration files for them and input relevant information into the database.

If the insured unit is dissolved, revoked, merged or divided, and the obligation of social insurance payment is terminated according to law, it shall go through the formalities for cancellation of social insurance registration. Before going through the cancellation of social insurance registration, the insured units must settle the social insurance premiums, interest, late fees and fines that should be paid.
