You can change the designated hospitals online. From 5th to 25th of every month, you can log on to the online social security service platform in Beijing, and only need to change the designated hospitals, which will take effect the next day. But there must be a digital certificate of the unit.

Individuals can't change online, they have to go to the street social security office or the institution that pays social security.
