According to the notice issued by People's Republic of China (PRC) and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, social security review is a process in which social insurance institutions examine and confirm the base and proportion of social insurance contributions of enterprises or individuals. The social insurance payment base refers to the upper limit of the payer's wage income, and those exceeding the upper limit are not included in the social insurance payment base. The proportion of social insurance contributions refers to the proportion of employees and employers who pay social security according to regulations.

In the social security audit, the social insurance agency will verify the payer's salary and other income, and will also verify whether the employer's social insurance contribution ratio is implemented in accordance with the regulations.
