Shanghai Minimum Wage Standard in 2023

The minimum wage in Shanghai in 2023 is 2590 yuan per month. Excluding social insurance and housing accumulation fund, overtime pay, high temperature allowance, allowance under special working environment, food allowance, transportation fee and housing allowance. The hourly minimum wage is in 24 yuan, excluding social insurance. On June 30, 2023, Shanghai Human Resources and Social Security Bureau announced that the minimum wage would be adjusted from July 1, and the monthly minimum wage would be increased by 100 yuan and the hourly minimum wage would be increased by 1 yuan.

The minimum wage in Shanghai does not include the following expenses:

1, food subsidy (rice paste);

2. Commuting expenses subsidies;

3. Housing subsidies;

4. Middle shift and night shift allowance;

5, high temperature and low temperature allowance;

6, underground, toxic and harmful special working environment conditions allowance.

If an employee is sick or injured for less than 6 months, the enterprise shall pay sick pay according to the following standards:

1, if the continuous length of service is less than 2 years, it will be paid at 60% of my salary;

2, continuous service for 2 years and less than 4 years, according to 70% of my salary;

3, continuous service for 4 years and less than 6 years, according to 80% of my salary;

4, continuous service for 6 years and less than 8 years, according to my salary of 90%;

5. Those who have worked continuously for 8 years or more will be paid 100% of their salary.

To sum up, the minimum wage does not exclude the monthly bonus, so the bonus can be included in the minimum wage. However, no matter how the proportion of wages and bonuses is stipulated, the actual monthly income of employees cannot be lower than the minimum wage.
