Cancellation of medical insurance card for employees in Jinan city

Because the cancellation of medical insurance card involves the settlement of account funds, there is no unified standard in China at present, and the policies implemented in different places are different. It is recommended to consult the local social security department first. In general, the process of medical insurance cancellation is as follows:

1. The applicant fills in the Application Form for Personal Account Cancellation of Employees' Basic Medical Insurance (subject to the local social security department), the insured unit adds comments, and after the social security agency approves it, it is submitted to the issuing bank for account cancellation procedures.

2. The applicant holds his/her valid ID card, medical insurance card and the Application Form for Personal Account Cancellation of Employees' Basic Medical Insurance approved by the social security agency to handle the settlement at the counter of the designated bank outlet.

3. The funds in the bank medical insurance card are transferred to the personal settlement account under my name. In principle, personal settlement accounts are local passbooks, debit cards or quasi-credit cards, and the cancellation of medical insurance cards is handled with reference to the procedures for cancellation of debit cards.
