If you participate in the "residents' medical insurance", it is generally paid annually. Residents' medical insurance premiums paid by individuals shall be collected by the local tax authorities, and those who are insured for the first time shall be collected in the next month when they register for insurance; The renewal of the new year is levied in June every year.

Guangzhou residents' medical insurance premiums are raised according to the following standards and methods (see the Notice on Printing and Distributing the Trial Measures for Basic Medical Insurance for Urban Residents in Guangzhou (Sui Fu Ban [2008] No.22):

(1) The payment standard for minors and students in school is 160 yuan/person-year, of which individual payment is 80 yuan/person-year, and governments at all levels subsidize 80 yuan/person-year.

(2) The payment standard for non-employed residents is 580 yuan/person-year, in which the individual payment is 480 yuan/person-year and the government subsidies at all levels are 100 yuan/person-year.

(3) The payment standard for the elderly residents is 1 10,000 yuan/person-year, in which the individual pays 500 yuan/person-year and the governments at all levels subsidize 500 yuan/person-year.
