According to the Labor Law, wages are paid on a monthly basis. Article 85 of the Labor Contract Law stipulates that: If an employer does any of the following:

(3) arranges for overtime work and does not pay overtime pay;

(D) terminate or terminate the labor contract without paying economic compensation to the workers in accordance with these regulations.

The labor administrative department shall order the payment of labor remuneration, overtime pay or economic compensation within a specified period of time; if the labor remuneration is lower than the local minimum wage standard, the difference shall be paid; if the payment is not made after the expiration of the period of time, the employer shall be ordered to pay compensation to the workers at the rate of more than fifty percent of the amount payable to the workers and less than one hundred percent of the amount payable to the workers:
