Professional women enjoy maternity insurance benefits during maternity leave, and the social security pooling fund reimburses related medical expenses and issues maternity allowance; If a professional woman does not participate in maternity insurance, it shall be borne by the employer. At present, the maternity leave standard formally implemented in China is based on the "Special Provisions on Labor Protection for Female Workers (Draft)" deliberated and adopted in principle by the the State Council executive meeting on April 12. The draft extended the maternity leave enjoyed by female employees from 90 days to 98 days, and standardized the relevant treatment.

6, late maternity leave, by the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government in accordance with the provisions of the province's family planning regulations.
Introduction of breast-feeding leave: In order to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of female employees, protect their safety and health in productive labor, promote family planning, advocate prenatal and postnatal care, and improve the quality of the people, the state has formulated the Regulations on Breast-feeding Leave for Female Employees. The details are as follows: female workers who have given birth in accordance with family planning regulations and have difficulty raising their babies after the expiration of maternity leave can take breastfeeding leave upon their own application and approval by the leaders. Breastfeeding leave for one year (one year after the baby is born), you can enjoy breastfeeding time of 0.5 hours twice a day, which can be combined into 1 hour. Get off work one hour early or work at night 1 hour (breastfeeding leave including artificial feeding).
Legal basis: Article 25 of the Population and Family Planning Law of the People's Republic of China. Couples who have children in accordance with laws and regulations can get extended maternity leave or other welfare benefits.
Article 7 of the "Special Provisions on Labor Protection of Female Employees" allows female employees to enjoy 98 days of maternity leave, including 15 days before delivery; In case of dystocia, maternity leave shall be increased 15 days; For multiple births, the maternity leave can be increased by 1 5 days for each additional child.
