The main purpose of fraudulent phone calls is to defraud the insured's personal information, including ID number, social security card number (medical insurance card), and even to defraud the bank card number to request remittance. Fraud calls are mostly voice calls, but there are also a few manual calls. Most fraudulent calls can't display the incoming number on fixed lines and mobile phones, or start with similar numbers such as 00 19, 0 195.

The municipal medical insurance management department pointed out that the three situations provided by fraudulent telephone calls are purely false. First, there are strict implementation procedures for medical insurance supervision and inspection. If the abnormal use of the medical insurance card needs to be audited, the medical insurance department will require the insured person to go to the designated place for face-to-face audit in the form of written notice. Second, the insured person holds a social security card (medical insurance card) for medical treatment without a valid period, and does not need to change the card because it expires.
