According to Article 58 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), "the employer shall register social insurance for employees within 30 days from the date of employment."
It is a violation of labor law for the company not to pay social security for employees on probation. Employees have the right to terminate the labor contract, require the employer to pay economic compensation, or require the company to pay social security fees during the probation period. Employers should not take chances and not pay social insurance premiums during the probation period. If a worker suffers work-related injuries during the probation period, the employer shall bear all the compensation expenses that should have been paid by the social security fund.
