Beijing medical insurance passbook and social security card

1. At present, the social security card is equal to the medical insurance card.

2. The blue book, which is the Beijing medical insurance handbook, has now been abolished, as the medical insurance card (social security card) has replaced the blue book.

3. The medical insurance passbook is still in use, and money is paid into it every month. Generally, the passbook will be issued three months after your first enrollment, and will be picked up by your employer at a Bank of Beijing distribution point in your district.
