Rural areas can pay social security, which is the so-called new rural social endowment insurance. Rural social security is a personal account of old-age insurance established by the state for each new rural insurance participant. Individual contributions, collective subsidies and other economic organizations, social welfare organizations, individual contributions and local government contributions are all credited to individual accounts. Personal account deposit accounts shall bear interest every year with reference to the one-year RMB deposit rate of financial institutions announced by the People's Bank of China.

There are three options for rural household registration to pay social security:

1. First, in the place where the household registration is located, flexible employees pay their own social security hardware.

2. Second, there is a work unit to pay social security for you.

3. Third, choose to pay the new rural endowment insurance, which is often called rural insurance.

It depends on which area you are in. In some areas, you can't pay social security if you pay agricultural insurance, and you can't pay agricultural insurance if you pay social security.
