Shanghai's social security contributions over 40 years old cannot be halved.

According to relevant policies in Shanghai, there is no preferential policy of halving social security for individuals over 40 years old. Only men over 45 years old and women over 40 years old who have registered for unemployment can apply for social insurance premium subsidies for flexible employment after they have stopped paying social insurance premiums for more than 6 months, started their own businesses or found their own jobs and paid social insurance premiums according to regulations. The subsidy standard is 50% of the social insurance premium.
