From the second month after the employer and its employees pay medical insurance premiums according to regulations, employees begin to enjoy basic medical insurance benefits; Workers who fail to pay or pay medical insurance premiums in full will stop enjoying basic medical insurance benefits from the next month.

Employers and their employees who should pay but fail to pay or fail to pay medical insurance premiums in full can continue to enjoy basic medical insurance benefits from the next month when they need to pay medical insurance premiums in full (the medical expenses incurred during the overdue period are not settled).

If the number of years (including deemed payment period) that the employer and its employees have paid medical insurance premiums exceeds 15 years, the employees can enjoy basic medical insurance benefits after retirement.
