Can I see that I'm married or unmarried when my new company pays social security?

Companies that pay social security to their employees do not have direct access to that employee's marital status. Usually when a company registers a new employee for social security, detailed personal information is not visible. According to Article 58 of the Social Insurance Law of the People's Republic of China*** and the State of China, an employer shall, within thirty days from the date of employment, apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration for its employees. If it fails to register for social insurance, the social insurance agency shall authorize the social insurance premiums to be paid. Individual entrepreneurs without employees who voluntarily participate in social insurance, part-time workers who do not participate in social insurance with their employers, and other flexibly employed persons shall apply for social insurance registration with the social insurance administration organization. The State establishes a nationally unified individual social security number. The individual social security number is a citizen's identity number.

And according to Article 60 of the Social Insurance Law of the People's Republic of China, employers shall declare and pay social insurance premiums on their own, in full and on time, and shall not suspend or reduce them except for force majeure or other legal reasons. The social insurance premiums payable by employees are withheld and paid by the employer, and the employer shall inform the individual of the details of the payment of social insurance premiums on a monthly basis. Individual industrial and commercial households without employees, part-time workers who do not participate in social insurance with their employers, and other flexibly employed persons may pay social insurance premiums directly to the social insurance premium collection agency. Article 61 stipulates that social insurance premium collection agencies shall collect social insurance premiums in full and on time in accordance with the law, and inform employers and individuals of the status of payment on a regular basis.

So a new company can't know an employee's marital status when paying social security.
