Where can I get a social security card?

Legal analysis: Generally speaking, you need to go to the Social Security Bureau to apply for a social security card. For those who have no work units, they can pay social security as flexible employees. For most on-the-job employees, the social security card is handled by the unit after joining the company, and employees only need to provide their identity documents and related forms. China's "Social Insurance Law" also clearly points out that the employer should handle social insurance registration for employees within 30 days from the date of employment.

Legal basis: Article 7 of the Administrative Measures of the People's Republic of China on Social Security Cards. To apply for issuing social security cards, the following materials shall be submitted:

(1) Fill in a complete social security card issuance registration application form;

(2) An explanation of the preparation for the issuance of social security cards;

(3) The application fields and application file structures in the card that meet the requirements of the national unified specifications (including the application fields and indicators of local expansion);

(four) the card face style designed according to the unified requirements;

(five) the measures for the administration of social security cards in this area and the detailed rules for their implementation;

(six) other materials required by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
