Who is responsible for the collection of social insurance?

Social insurance fee collection agencies have tax authorities or social insurance institutions to collect. According to the Collection Regulations, the collection agencies of social insurance premiums are determined by the people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, which can be determined by tax authorities or social insurance agencies.

Article 61 of the Social Insurance Law stipulates that social insurance premium collection agencies shall collect social insurance premiums in full and on time according to law, and regularly inform employers and individuals of the payment.
