Will social security payment affect buying a house?

Paying social security can't buy a house. Social security payment stipulated by the policies of some big cities requires buyers to pay social insurance in full and on time within a certain period of time. Usually, if social security is owed for some special reasons and only needs to be paid for a few months, it depends on local policies and regulations. In some places, payment within 3 months can be considered continuous.

The following is a brief introduction to the social security regulations of several cities:

(1) In Changsha, individuals who purchase houses according to social security payment must pay social security for more than 24 months within 30 months before they are eligible to purchase houses. Those who repay the loan or cut off the supply are not counted in the validity period.

② In Guangzhou, if non-local residents can provide tax payment certificates or social security payment certificates for five consecutive years before buying a house, buying a house in Guangzhou is restricted, and non-local residents are not allowed to buy a house because of paying tax payment certificates or social security payment certificates. Non-local residents can't pay the tax payment certificate or social security payment certificate to buy a house.

(3) Hefei registered residents who are not registered in Hefei can purchase houses by paying taxes or social security certificates 1 year or more in urban areas within two years.
