1. What should I do if I lose my social security card?

2. How long is the reporting period?

Answer: The pre-loss reporting by telephone is valid within 24 hours, and citizens should report the loss in writing within 24 hours after the pre-loss reporting by telephone. The written report of loss is valid for 30 days. The loss reporting card will be frozen for use within 1 hour after handling the telephone pre-loss reporting procedures and within 4 hours after the written loss reporting procedures.

3. How to handle the pre-loss reporting procedure?

Answer: The cardholder's name, citizenship number, contact number and home address should be provided when reporting the loss in advance.

Since the validity period of telephone pre-loss reporting is 24 hours, the cardholder or his legal representative should go to the nearest card replacement outlet for written loss reporting or card replacement procedures within the validity period of telephone pre-loss reporting. Answer: The city card center will freeze the use of the card within 1 hour after receiving the report of loss by telephone in advance and within 4 hours after receiving the report of loss in writing.

After the expiration of the validity period of telephone pre-loss reporting, if the cardholder fails to go through the formalities of reporting the loss or replacing the card in writing, the city card center will unfreeze and resume the use of the original pre-loss reporting card.

6. How to cancel the loss reporting within the validity period?

Answer: After the expiration of the 24-hour validity period of telephone pre-loss reporting, the loss reporting will be automatically released. During this period, the report of loss cannot be released.

9. How to redeem it?
