According to the Opinions, starting from June 65438+ 10/day, 2008, enterprises in Shanghai and branches of enterprises that have obtained business licenses should pay the protection fee for back wages on a household basis.

Experts in the industry explained that the new regulations on the protection of wages in arrears meant that only small enterprises had to pay the protection of wages in the past. Now, regardless of the size of the enterprise, it is necessary to pay the enterprise wage protection fee. Moreover, regardless of the size and number of enterprises, the annual wage protection fee payment standard of each enterprise is determined according to the minimum wage standard of Shanghai in that year. For example, the minimum wage in Shanghai this year is 840 yuan. Therefore, whether it is a one-person enterprise or a 10,000-person enterprise, the wage protection fee that needs to be paid this year is 840 yuan.

Wage protection fee is collected by Shanghai Social Insurance Fund Settlement Management Center, namely the Municipal Social Security Center. Enterprises and enterprise branches only need to pay wages once a year. The Municipal Social Security Center will issue a notice of payment of back-pay guarantee fee to all payment enterprises on June 5438+ 10 every year, and the payment enterprises shall pay back-pay guarantee fee in full and on time according to the date specified in the notice of payment by the Municipal Social Security Center.

The specific amount paid by the Shanghai enterprise wage protection fund is the amount of the monthly minimum wage standard published by Shanghai. If the enterprise fails to pay in full as required, it shall be transferred to the Municipal Labor and Social Security Bureau for supervision by the Municipal Social Security Center. (End)
