Ways to pay medical insurance by yourself:

1. If you are a resident of this city, you can bring the original ID card, household registration book, copy and 1 inch color photo to the community neighborhood committee or social security office to register and pay;

2. If you are a rural resident, you can choose to participate in rural cooperative medical care. If you need to participate, the village Committee will tell you how to submit the information and then handle it uniformly;

3. If you are self-employed, you can choose to establish a pool fund instead of a personal account, and pay the basic medical insurance premium at 4.2% of the local average monthly salary in the previous year. Or you can choose to pay a personal account at 8% of the local average monthly salary in the previous year.

To sum up, whether there is money on the medical insurance card does not affect your reimbursement ratio and insurance coverage. The money on the card belongs to your personal account, which can offset part of your commitment. If there is no money on the card, you only need to pay your share in cash. Medical insurance will still bear the medical insurance part, and the reimbursement ratio is arbitrary, regardless of whether you have money on your card. When you leave the hospital, you only need to pay the expenses that the hospital should bear. Social security reimbursement is settled by hospitals and social security departments.
