Social security has stopped, can the medical insurance card still be used?

Legal analysis: after the social security is interrupted, the medical insurance card can be used in the second month after the normal payment within three months, and it needs to be paid continuously for six months before it can be used normally. It takes some time to break, continue and return to normal social security. According to the time of breaking diplomatic relations, it can be divided into two situations:

First, under normal circumstances, you can enjoy normal medical insurance benefits within three months after breaking diplomatic relations and from the second month after going through normal payment procedures.

Two, continuous interruption of payment for 3 months (inclusive), will be regarded as interruption of insurance, interruption of insurance to enjoy medical insurance benefits, the need to supplement the continuous payment for 6 months after the renewal procedures.

After the medical insurance card is stopped, the money in the personal account of the medical insurance card can still be used, which can only be used to buy medicine and see a doctor in the outpatient department. If you are hospitalized, you can't enjoy medical insurance reimbursement, and you have to pay for it at your own expense.

Legal basis: Article 32 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), if an individual is employed across the overall planning area, his basic medical insurance relationship will be transferred accordingly, and the payment period will be calculated cumulatively.
