Acceptance conditions:

1. New mothers who have a fixed job in Shanghai and pay maternity insurance can apply for maternity allowance after giving birth to a good baby (two parts), regardless of whether you are registered in Shanghai or not (except in rural areas, otherwise stipulated).

2. If she is a new mother registered in Shanghai, even if she has no job, she can receive maternity allowance as long as she pays social security, but she can only receive maternity living allowance (2892 yuan per month) according to the minimum standard, and the medical allowance will not be affected.

Location: social security centers in all districts, which can be handled nearby across districts, and do not need to be handled in the district where the household registration is located.

Payment standard of maternity living allowance: those who have paid maternity insurance 12 months or more continuously will be paid according to the average social security payment base of the unit in the previous year, with natural delivery for 3 months, late childbirth 1 month, cesarean section or dystocia for 0.5 months, and multiple births for each additional baby 1 month. For example, it is 4 months for those who give birth naturally and 4.5 months for those who give birth by caesarean section. If the company has changed in the last year, the base will be calculated according to the weighted average of the payment bases of the first two companies.

Please note that there are two special cases:

If the average salary of your unit exceeds 3 times that of the previous year, maternity insurance will pay 300% of it, and the excess will be made up by the unit. For example, the average salary of your company is 2w, and the maternity insurance is only three times the average salary of last year, and the extra part is made up by your company.

If your salary exceeds the average salary of your unit, you are not required to make up for it. For example, your salary is 1w, and the company's contribution base is 7000, so you can only receive the living allowance at 7000.

Payment standard of maternity medical allowance: 3,000 yuan for normal childbirth.
