If you still work in Zhongshan, you can't apply for social security transfer. You have to wait until the unit where you are working has gone through the resignation formalities for you, and then go to your social security bureau to settle the payment with the letter of introduction from the labor and social security department issued by the unit (explain the transfer at the counter), and go back to your hometown social security bureau to go through the transfer formalities with the information from Zhongshan Social Security Bureau. It's best to ask what information to bring before going to the social security bureau, so as not to make a trip in vain.
