Can social security card replace ID card in civil service examination?

The social security card of the civil service examination cannot replace the ID card.

Social security card can't be used as ID card. Identity cards and household registration books are materials that can prove identity. However, if you don't have an ID card by plane or train, you can use your social security card to apply for temporary identification from the airport and railway police authorities, or use your social security card to provide your ID number.

Basic requirements for civil servants to apply for the exam:

1, with China nationality;

2. 18 years old and under 35 years old, and the age of graduate students and doctoral students (non-employed) can be relaxed to under 40 years old;

3. Support the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC);

5. Have the physical conditions to perform their duties normally;

6. Have the ability to work in line with the requirements of the post;

7. Have a college degree or above;
