The social security card was processed two years ago and has not been activated. Is it still useless?

Legal analysis: the social security card is not activated without any loss and will not be invalidated, but the medical insurance card will be restricted. When I first got the social security card, it was still unavailable, and I had to activate it before I could use it. The social security card has a prescribed activation time, within half a year from the day I get the card. If we don't activate within this time period, the medical insurance card will be automatically deactivated.

Legal basis: People's Republic of China (PRC) Social Insurance Law.

Article 58 An employing unit shall, within 30 days from the date of employment, apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration for its employees. If the social insurance has not been registered, the social insurance agency shall verify the social insurance premium it should pay.
