How do foreigners go through retirement procedures in Beijing?

To apply for retirement in Beijing, a foreign household registration must meet the following conditions:

(1) Reach the statutory retirement age;

(2) The pension account established in Beijing is a "general account";

(3) The pension insurance payment period has accumulated to 15 years, and it has been paid in Beijing for 10 years;

(4) Pay the old-age insurance normally in Beijing in the month of retirement (check with the Social Security Bureau of the district in advance).

A general account is an account that meets one of the following conditions: a pension account established before 20 10 1; Old-age accounts established by men before the age of 50 and women before the age of 40; Beijing national competition.

Adjust "temporary hukou" to "general hukou": temporary hukou personnel will move their hukou into a new employment insurance place (hukou will enter Beijing) before the statutory retirement age, and can apply for changing their temporary hukou into a general hukou in the new employment insurance place from the month after the hukou moves in.

Paying social security cannot change the nature of the account: Notice of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on Several Issues Concerning the Transfer and Continuation of the Basic Old-age Insurance Relationship for Employees in Urban Enterprises (Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security Regulation [2016] No.5): If unpaid old-age insurance premiums are paid before the temporary basic old-age insurance payment account is established, the nature of the temporary basic old-age insurance payment account will not be changed.

The basic old-age insurance account is an ordinary account, and the place where the benefits are received is in Beijing. The insured persons from other places whose payment period is over 10 and less than 15 can choose to apply for deferred payment in the street office where the unit or unit is registered, and then go through the retirement formalities in Beijing.
