How much social security do farmers in Inner Mongolia have?

The pension benefits initially determined in Inner Mongolia are composed of basic pension and personal account pension. All farmers and herdsmen who are insured in the pilot areas will receive a monthly pension after reaching the age of 60. Among them, the minimum standard of basic pension is 55 yuan per person per month, and the 70-year-old and 80-year-old people are increased respectively 10 yuan and 20 yuan.

According to the unified national regulations, the monthly calculation and payment standard of personal account pension determined by Inner Mongolia is1139 of the total amount of personal account. However, Inner Mongolia stipulates that well-off cities and counties can also appropriately raise the standard of basic pension in the form of subsidies.

According to the conditions for receiving old-age benefits drawn up in Inner Mongolia, farmers and herdsmen who have reached the age of 60 when the new rural social old-age insurance system is implemented can receive the basic pension directly on a monthly basis without paying fees, but their eligible children have to pay for insurance.

In order to encourage farmers and herdsmen to pay insurance premiums for a long time, in accordance with the principle of overpaying for more, Inner Mongolia stipulates that farmers and herdsmen who are less than 15 years old from receiving pensions can pay insurance premiums on an annual basis, and they are also allowed to pay back insurance premiums, but the cumulative payment period does not exceed 15 years. Those who receive the pension over 15 shall pay the insurance premium on an annual basis, and the accumulated period shall not be less than 15.
