You can buy medical insurance separately, not social security, because both medical insurance and social security are paid voluntarily. Medical insurance is a kind of social security. If you only want to go to medical insurance, you can only choose medical insurance to pay, and you don't have to pay social security. But if you are an enterprise employee, the unit must apply for social security. It is impossible to pay medical insurance without paying social security.
