How many copies of social security can be purchased?

Only one copy of social security can be purchased.

Social security is divided into three forms: rural household, urban household and unlimited household employee health insurance.

If you are the same person, you can't pay for two copies of social security.

Because social security is the state mandatory for enterprises to pay insurance for employees. That is, the employee and the enterprise to sign a labor contract, the enterprise is obliged to pay the employee social security. But the employee can only sign a labor contract with one enterprise.

According to Article 69 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Labor Contracts (hereinafter referred to as the Law on Labor Contracts), a worker who is engaged in part-time employment may enter into a labor contract with one or more employers; however, the labor contract entered into after the contract shall not affect the fulfillment of the labor contract entered into first. From this provision, it can be seen that workers engaged in part-time employment may enter into an employment contract with one or more employers, i.e., workers engaged in part-time employment are permitted to enter into dual or multiple employment relationships.

Therefore it is not possible to pay two social security contributions at the same time, and if it is found necessary to merge the insurance, i.e. to apply for the insurance transfer procedure.
