What are the procedures for social security transfer?

First, the medical insurance transfer procedures are as follows:

1. Employ in the transferred place and pay insurance.

2. I or the employing unit shall fill in the Application Form for the Transfer and Continuation of the Relationship between Basic Endowment Insurance and Basic Medical Insurance to the social security agency in the transferred place, apply for the transfer and continuance of the old-age insurance and medical insurance, and present the payment vouchers of basic endowment insurance and basic medical insurance issued by the original insured place.

3. For those who meet the transfer conditions, the social security agency in the transfer place will send the Contact Letter on the Transfer and Continuation of the Relationship between Basic Endowment Insurance and Medical Insurance to the social security agency in the original insured place.

4. After receiving the contact letter, the social security agency of the original insured place will transfer the relationship between basic old-age insurance and medical insurance, transfer funds according to regulations, and send the Information Form on the Transfer and Continuation of the Relationship between Basic Old-age Insurance and Medical Insurance to the social security agency of the transferred place.

5. After the fund is received, the social security agency in the transfer place will continue the pension insurance, medical insurance relationship and personal account with the information form, and notify the employer or myself to complete it. At this point, the whole relationship transfer connection program is completed.

Interim Measures for the Transfer and Continuation of the Relationship of Basic Medical Insurance for Migrant Workers Article 7 If the insured persons of urban basic medical insurance are employed across the overall planning areas and participate in urban basic medical insurance in the new employment place, the social (medical) insurance agency in the new employment place shall notify the social (medical) insurance agency in the original employment place to handle the transfer procedures and no longer enjoy the basic medical insurance benefits in the original employment place. If a personal account is established, the personal account will be transferred with the medical insurance relationship in principle, and the balance of the personal account (including the part paid by the individual and the part paid by the unit) will be transferred through the social (medical) insurance agency.
