At present, the social security contribution base is divided into several categories according to different participation. Active employees participating in the city's five social insurances determine the contribution base according to their 2012 average monthly wages. Among them, the upper limit of the contribution base is determined according to 300% of the average monthly salary of employees in the city in 2012, with a maximum of RMB 15,669. The lower limit of the contribution base for employees participating in pension and unemployment insurance is determined in accordance with 40% of the average monthly salary of employees in 2012, with a minimum of not less than 2,089 yuan; for employees participating in medical, industrial injury and maternity insurance, the lower limit of the contribution base is determined in accordance with 60% of the average monthly salary of employees in 2012, with a minimum of not less than 3,134 yuan.
Based on the new average monthly salary of the city's employees, the insured can deduce the amount of personal contributions to the five insurance in 2013. For example, according to the new standard, the minimum monthly amount of individual contributions for pension insurance for active employees should be 167 yuan, and the maximum amount should be 1,253.52 yuan.
