Can the social security card in Shanxi Province be used across cities?

Medical insurance in Shanxi province can be used across provinces. Shanxi province is one of the first provinces in China to directly settle medical treatment in different provinces. At present, seven co-ordination areas, including provincial level, Taiyuan, Datong, Shuozhou, Xinzhou, Jinzhong and Linfen, have been connected to the national platform one after another, and eligible insured persons in these areas will be able to realize direct settlement of medical treatment in different provinces.
