How to apply for a social security card

Legal analysis: To apply for a social security card, you need to provide the original valid ID card of the insured, photos or photo electronic files that meet the photo standard of the second-generation ID card, and relevant insurance certificates. When handling employees to apply for social security cards in batches, agencies need to log on to the website of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security to download the registration form for applying for social security cards in batches. After filling out the form, the agent of the unit will bring the electronic document of the Registration Form for Batch Application of Social Security Card and the valid certificate issued by the unit to the comprehensive service window of social security card for batch application.

Legal basis: Article 8 of the Measures for the Administration of Social Security Cards of the People's Republic of China promulgated by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security;

(1) When issuing social security cards, the provincial human resources and social security departments shall submit the application materials to the office of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security Informatization Leading Group for review.

(four) in the card-issuing area, if the structure of the social security card surface and the file in the card is changed, it must be reported to the Office of the Information Leading Group of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security for re-examination. Any change of card-issuing suppliers and products, expansion of card-issuing quantity and increase of card-issuing quantity shall be reported to the Office of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security Informatization Leading Group for the record.
