Social security card activation

The social security card does not need to be activated by opening the card. What needs to be activated is the medical insurance in the social security card. The activation method is as follows:

1. The insured person brings his medical insurance card and ID card to the issuing bank for activation;

2. The insured person can use the medical insurance card in the designated medical insurance hospital and directly activate the function;

3. It can be activated at the designated medical insurance pharmacy, and the medical insurance card can be activated when it is used for the first time.

Medical insurance card processing flow:

1. Prepare application materials, original and photocopy of ID card, one-inch photo, resignation procedures, photocopy of household registration book, renewal of medical insurance card and medical records;

2. Then go to the old-age insurance institution where the account is located to receive the social insurance financial subsidy form, fill it out and submit it, and submit all the prepared materials;

3, to review the information provided by the staff, the day can end, issue a payment voucher;

4. According to the bank information on the payment document, you can transfer money regularly; Take the first payment slip to the medical insurance hall to apply for a medical insurance card. In some places, there will be medical records. The medical record has photos and seals, so you can take it with you when you see a doctor.

Legal basis: Article 29 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC).

The medical expenses of the insured shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund, and shall be directly settled by social insurance agencies, medical institutions and pharmaceutical business units.

The administrative department of social insurance and the administrative department of health shall establish a settlement system for medical expenses in different places to facilitate the insured to enjoy the basic medical insurance benefits.

Article 7

The administrative department of social insurance in the State Council is responsible for the national social insurance management, and other relevant departments in the State Council are responsible for the relevant social insurance work within their respective functions and duties.

The social insurance administrative department of the local people's government at or above the county level shall be responsible for the social insurance management within its administrative area, and other relevant departments of the local people's government at or above the county level shall be responsible for the relevant social insurance work within their respective functions and duties.
