The difference between payment and reimbursement of social security A and B

There are four differences between Class A and Class B social security payment reimbursement, as follows:

1, the price is different. Drugs listed in Class A are necessary for clinical treatment, widely used, with good curative effect and low price among similar drugs; Drugs classified as Class B can be used in clinic with good curative effect, and the price of similar drugs is slightly higher than that of Class A;

2. Adjustment is different. Class A catalogue shall be formulated by the state and shall not be adjusted by all localities. Category B catalogues are formulated by the state, and all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government can make appropriate adjustments according to the local economic level, medical needs and medication habits. The sum of the increase or decrease in the number of varieties shall not exceed15% of the total number of drugs in the Class B list formulated by the state;

3. Different payment methods. The cost of using Class A drugs shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund according to regulations; The expenses of Class B drugs shall be paid by the insured after paying a certain percentage of the expenses, and then according to the provisions of basic medical insurance;

4. The reimbursement rate is different. Class A drugs can be reimbursed according to the reimbursement ratio of 100%, while class B drugs require the insured to pay 30% of the expenses first, and the remaining 70% of the expenses will be reimbursed in proportion.
