Steps for leaving and transferring social security

1, issue insurance payment voucher. Before the insured person flows across provinces and cities, the employer or the insured person shall apply to the social security agency of the original insured place for issuing the payment voucher for endowment insurance and medical insurance, and provide the insured person's resident identity card and other relevant certification materials in accordance with the regulations.

2. Go through the insurance registration formalities. After the insured is employed in different places, the basic pension and medical insurance relationship shall be established in the new employment place according to the regulations.

3. Apply for transfer and connection. The employer or insured person in the new employment place applies to the social security agency in the new employment place for transfer and connection, presents the certificate of insurance payment issued by the original insured place, and fills in the Application Form for Transfer and Connection of Social Insurance Relationship.

4. Complete the transmission and connection. The social security agency in the new employment place accepts the Application Form for the Transfer and Continuation of Social Insurance Relationship and relevant materials for review. In line with the transfer conditions, the basic old-age insurance relationship transfer contact letter will be generated and sent to the social security agency of the original insured place. After receiving the Contact Letter on the Transfer and Continuation of Social Insurance Relationship, the social security agency of the original insured place checks the relevant information and generates the Information Form on the Transfer and Continuation of Basic Endowment Insurance Relationship; Go through the formalities of fund transfer; Send the basic old-age insurance relationship transfer and connection information table to the social security institution of the new employment place; Terminate the basic old-age insurance relationship of the insured in the local area. After receiving the Information Form on the Transfer and Continuation of the Basic Endowment Insurance Relationship and the transfer fund, the social security institution of the new employment place shall check the information form and the amount of the transfer fund. Will transfer the amount of funds in accordance with the provisions were credited to the overall fund and the insured personal account; According to the Information Form and the materials provided by the employer or the insured, the relevant information is supplemented and improved to complete the transfer of insurance relationship.

5. If there are no problems. It is estimated that social security will be transferred to the transfer-out place within 1-3 months.

Legal basis: Article 50 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Labor Contract Law. The employing unit shall issue a certificate of dissolution or termination of the labor contract at the time of dissolution or termination, and go through the formalities for the transfer of files and social insurance relations for employees within 15 days.

Laborers shall handle the work handover according to the agreement of both parties. If the employing unit should pay economic compensation to the workers in accordance with the relevant provisions of this law, it should pay it when the work handover is completed.

The employing unit shall keep the text of the dissolved or terminated labor contract for at least two years for future reference.
