Beijing medical insurance personal account will be used in a targeted way and can be used to buy medicines at designated pharmacies. According to the Beijing Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau, there are two ways for insured persons to use personal medical insurance accounts to purchase medicines at designated pharmacies. If there is no external prescription, the cost of self-purchasing drugs is not included in the scope of basic medical insurance payment, but it can be paid by my personal account (including mutual aid account) with social security card.

If an external prescription is used to purchase drugs, the expenses for the insured to purchase drugs at designated pharmacies with social security cards and external prescriptions issued by designated hospitals shall be included in the payment scope of basic medical insurance. Designated pharmacies download prescription information through the medical insurance information system to decompose medical insurance, in which medical expenses within the scope of medical insurance are paid directly by the medical insurance fund, and other self-paid or self-funded parts that need personal payment are paid through their personal accounts (including mutual aid accounts), and the insufficient part is made up by the insured in cash. The insured person needs to enter the personal account payment password when using the personal account to pay.

The medical insurance card has the following functions:

1, personal social security related information records, electronic certificates and information inquiry, etc. ;

2. Record the insured's name, ID number, date of birth, gender, nationality, household registration and other basic information;

3, query my pension, unemployment, medical care, work injury and maternity insurance payment;

4. You can take the card to the hospital to see a doctor, settle the medical insurance personal account, and buy medicine at the pharmacy;

5 for medical care, unemployment, pension, work injury, maternity and other social security affairs;

6. Query the total amount of endowment insurance and medical insurance;

7. Handling social security affairs such as receiving pension, job-seeking unemployment registration, applying for unemployment insurance, and applying for vocational training;

8. Used for identification.

To sum up, if you buy medicine in a pharmacy with a medical insurance card, if it is a designated pharmacy and the medicine can be reimbursed, you can directly settle it with a social security card, and the pharmacy can directly deduct the expenses from the social security card of the party concerned.
