Do rural homesteads need urban social security?

No need. Rural endowment insurance is a new type of insurance formulated by our government to protect the basic life of rural residents in their later years. In China, all rural residents who have reached the age of 16 (excluding students at school) and have not participated in the basic old-age insurance for urban workers can voluntarily participate in the new rural insurance at their domicile. Individual contributions, collective subsidies and government subsidies are combined, in which the central government will subsidize local governments and directly subsidize farmers.
