Can the new unit pay after the insurance is stopped?

Legal analysis: the new unit can pay compensation after the insurance is stopped. According to the provisions of relevant national laws and regulations, if a worker goes to work in a new unit after leaving his job, the new unit can pay social security for the worker on the same day after the original unit stops insurance.

Legal basis: Article 50 of the Labor Contract Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that the employer shall issue a certificate of dissolution or termination of the labor contract when it is dissolved or terminated, and go through the formalities of transferring the relationship between files and social insurance for the employee within 15 days. Laborers shall handle the work handover according to the agreement of both parties. If the employing unit should pay economic compensation to the workers in accordance with the relevant provisions of this law, it should pay it when the work handover is completed. The employing unit shall keep the text of the dissolved or terminated labor contract for at least two years for future reference.

Article 58 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the employing unit shall, within 30 days from the date of employment, apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration for employees. If the social insurance has not been registered, the social insurance agency shall verify the social insurance premium it should pay. Employees-free individual industrial and commercial households who voluntarily participate in social insurance, part-time employees who do not participate in social insurance in the employing unit and other flexible employees shall apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration. The state establishes a national unified personal social security number. Personal social security number is a citizen's identity number.
