Employee health insurance hospital bed reimbursement

According to the Regulations on Basic Medical Insurance for Urban Employees of the People's Republic of China*** and the People's Republic of China, the employee medical insurance can reimburse the cost of hospitalization beds. The amount and standard of reimbursement is set by local health insurance departments according to the local situation, which is calculated in accordance with the charges of the hospitals designated for health insurance. If a patient chooses a high-grade ward, the part of the bed cost that exceeds the prescribed standard will have to be paid out of pocket and will not be reimbursed by the medical insurance.
