Characteristics of social security

Supportability is the fundamental purpose of implementing social insurance, and it is to ensure the basic life of workers after they lose their ability to work or temporarily interrupt their sources of livelihood, thus maintaining social stability.

2. Legality

Legitimacy means national legislation and law enforcement. Beneficiaries of insurance benefits and their units must participate in and pay social insurance funds in accordance with regulations, and cannot voluntarily. Legal system is the organizational guarantee to realize social insurance, which aims to ensure that workers can obtain living security due to temporary or permanent loss of working ability and unemployment, and stabilize social order.

Step 3 help each other

Mutual assistance is to organize social insurance according to the principle of social risk. Social insurance premiums are shared by the state, enterprises and individuals, and social insurance funds are established. Social insurance institutions should make use of mutual assistance, uniformly adjust funds, pay insurance premiums and provide services, redistribute income, and ensure the lives of workers participating in social insurance.

4. Welfare

Social insurance is not for profit, and it solves the biggest social security problem with the least cost, which belongs to the nature of social welfare.

5. General

Legal basis: Article 24 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the state establishes and improves the new rural cooperative medical system. Measures for the administration of the new rural cooperative medical system shall be formulated by the State Council.
