Personal number is not a social security account.

Although both personal number and social security account number are identification codes, their meanings and functions are different. Personal number, issued by public security organs, is a person's unique national identity card number, which is mainly used for identification, household registration management, public security management and so on. The social security account is issued by the administrative department of social insurance, and it is the only account of a person in the social insurance system. It is mainly used for social insurance participation, payment, inquiry and receiving social security benefits. Therefore, personal number and social security account number are two different concepts and cannot be confused.

In real life, some people confuse personal number with social security account number, which leads to some unnecessary troubles.
