How many kinds of social security are there?

There are four types of social security:

1, rural social security, including rural pension and rural new rural cooperative medical system;

2. Residents' social security, including urban, residents' pension and residents' medical insurance;

3. Social security for flexible employees, corresponding to employee pension and employee medical care;

4. Employee social security of enterprise employees, corresponding to employee pension, employee medical care, maternity insurance, industrial injury insurance and unemployment insurance.

Persons participating in social insurance can apply for social security cards at the comprehensive service window of social security cards or the social security card business processing window of social insurance agencies. When applying for a social security card, it is necessary to provide the original valid ID card of the insured person, photos or photo electronic files that meet the photo standard of the second-generation ID card and relevant insurance certificates, and the processing time is 30 working days.

The state establishes social insurance systems such as basic old-age insurance, basic medical insurance, industrial injury insurance, unemployment insurance and maternity insurance, so as to guarantee citizens' right to get material help from the state and society in accordance with the law when they are old, sick, injured, unemployed and have children.

Article 10

Employees shall participate in the basic old-age insurance, and the employer and employees shall jointly pay the basic old-age insurance premium.

Individual industrial and commercial households without employees, part-time employees who have not participated in the basic old-age insurance in the employer and other flexible employees can participate in the basic old-age insurance, and individuals pay the basic old-age insurance premium.

The measures for the endowment insurance of civil servants and staff managed by reference to the Civil Service Law shall be formulated by the State Council.
