How to activate social security card in different places

The social security card cannot be activated in different places, but it can be activated by hotline or official website.

Activate social security card:

Social security card has the functions of medical insurance settlement and banking finance, and it needs to be activated separately before it can be used.

Activation of medical insurance settlement function: the cardholder carries the social security card to the designated pharmacy or hospital to activate, set a new password of the social security card or postpone the password of the original medical insurance card. After successful activation, the personal information in the original medical insurance card will be automatically associated with the social security card, and the original medical insurance card will be deactivated.

Opening of banking financial functions: I hold valid certificates and social security cards to go through the opening procedures at the counter of the business outlets of the card-issuing cooperative banks. Moreover, there is no annual fee and small account management fee for the financial function of using social security cards.

Social security card inquiry activation mode:

1. Call the Social Security Bureau for telephone consultation;

2. Bring my ID card to the local social security center for enquiry.

3. Online inquiry:

(1) Log in to "XXX Human Resources and Social Security Network" and enter the home page of this website;

(2) Click "Social Security Inquiry Portal" and enter the ID number and password for inquiry.
