Can social security and rural insurance be bought together?

Social security and agricultural insurance cannot be bought together, as follows:

1, social security is generally targeted at urban registered residents, including five basic insurances: pension, medical care, unemployment, work injury, maternity and housing accumulation fund;

2. The rural cooperative medical system is aimed at rural hukou, and only agricultural registered permanent residence can join it. Funds generally include government subsidies, village collective support and individual contributions.

Personal social security payment process:

1. Individuals with urban or rural hukou can pay social security by themselves at local social security service points or at county-level social security bureaus. Individuals who pay social security can only pay endowment insurance and medical insurance;

2. Individuals can pay social security for themselves as freelancers. When paying social security, you need to bring your household registration book, ID card and copy, and prepare two one-inch photos. Then go to the local social security agency for handling;

3. When you apply for social security, you need to bind the bank card, mainly to deduct the fee automatically every month. You must remember to deposit the premium before the deduction date, otherwise it will be broken.

Legal basis: Article 58 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Social Insurance Law.

The employing unit shall, within 30 days from the date of employment, apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration for its employees. If the social insurance has not been registered, the social insurance agency shall verify the social insurance premium it should pay.

Employees-free individual industrial and commercial households who voluntarily participate in social insurance, part-time employees who do not participate in social insurance in the employing unit and other flexible employees shall apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration.

The state establishes a national unified personal social security number. Personal social security number is a citizen's identity number.

Article 59

The people's governments at or above the county level shall strengthen the collection of social insurance premiums.

Social insurance premiums shall be uniformly collected, and the implementation steps and specific measures shall be stipulated by the State Council.
