When can the newborn get the medical insurance card?

The sooner you apply for medical insurance for newborns, the better.

If a newborn applies for a medical insurance card within three months after birth, the medical insurance will take effect from the day when the child is born, and the expenses from birth to now can be reimbursed. If the medical insurance card is applied within one year after three months, the medical insurance will take effect in the next month after the application is successful, and only the medical expenses from the time when the card is applied can be reported.

Generally speaking, children's medical insurance needs the following information:

(1) Copy of both parents' ID cards

(2) Copies of the first page and my page of both parents' accounts.

(3) A copy of the account book of the insured newborn.

(4) a copy of the newborn's birth certificate

(5) Electronic version of newborn registration photos.
