New citizens who have registered their personal information and applied for residence registration in the city are required to meet the following conditions at the same time:

1. Anyone who conceals information on school registration disqualifies the applicant's child from admission.

2. At least one of the parents must meet the requirement of living in Taicang for more than 6 months (including 6 months) continuously and having a legal and stable residence.

3. Currently, the social security in Taicang is in the status of payment and has been paid continuously for more than 6 months (including 6 months).

More than 6 months of residence and more than 6 months of social security means more than 6 consecutive months from April 1, 2023 forward.

4. One of the parents or a minor child who has completed the online signing process for purchasing a house in Taicang, but has resided in the city for less than 6 consecutive months or has paid Taicang social security for less than 6 consecutive months, can also participate in the points.

New citizens who meet the above conditions can apply for their children to be enrolled in the first grade of public elementary school and the first grade of junior high schools in the city that are open to points-based enrollment.

Before April 1 of the year of application for enrollment, children of new citizens of Taicang who meet the enrollment age, at least one of whose parents must meet the requirements of living in Taicang for more than 6 months (including 6 months) and have a legal and stable residence. Satisfying the following conditions can be recognized as living in the city continuously for more than 6 months (including 6 months) and having a legal and stable residence:
