Pension insurance does not include social security

Social insurance is referred to as "social security", China's social security system includes:

2. Social pension insurance and medical insurance for urban residents are aimed at urban residents who are jobless and insecure.

3. The new rural social pension insurance and new rural cooperative medical insurance systems, for jobless and insecure rural residents.

However, in daily life, people often refer to pension insurance generically as social security.
