Why can't medical insurance be used?

1. The medical insurance card is not activated. You need to activate the medical insurance card to use it normally. If you want to activate the social security card, you can go to the bank, medical insurance center or call the social security hotline to activate it. When activating the medical insurance card, the initial password of the medical insurance card must be changed;

2. Not used in the designated area. At present, the medical insurance card is not connected to the national network, so the medical insurance card can only be used in the insured place. Only by opening a medical insurance card at the insured place can reimbursement be made. However, the personal account balance of the medical insurance card cannot be used, even if the medical insurance transfer is handled, the personal account balance of the medical insurance card cannot be transferred;

3. The medical insurance card has expired. The medical insurance card also has a clear term of use. If the medical insurance card expires, it can no longer be used, and you need to go to the medical insurance center to reissue a new one.

The medical insurance center hasn't paid the bill yet. The money in the personal account of the medical insurance card will be transferred regularly every month. If the money hasn't arrived, it won't come out naturally. At this time, you can only wait for a period of time before the account can be used normally after the transfer is successful;

5. Not covered by reimbursement. There are regulations on the scope of medical insurance reimbursement in China, and it will only be reimbursed if it is used in the social security catalogue. However, some self-funded drugs outside the catalogue can be paid with the balance in the personal account of the medical insurance card.

Twenty-eighth medical expenses that meet the basic medical insurance drug list, diagnosis and treatment items, medical service facilities standards and emergency treatment and rescue shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund in accordance with state regulations.

Twenty-ninth medical expenses of the insured shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund, and shall be directly settled by the social insurance agency, medical institutions and pharmaceutical business units.

The administrative department of social insurance and the administrative department of health shall establish a settlement system for medical expenses in different places to facilitate the insured to enjoy the basic medical insurance benefits.

Thirtieth the following medical expenses are not included in the basic medical insurance fund payment scope:

(a) shall be paid by the industrial injury insurance fund;

(2) It shall be borne by a third party;

(three) shall be borne by public health;

(4) Go abroad for medical treatment.

Medical expenses that should be borne by a third party according to law. If the third party is unable to pay or cannot determine the third party, the basic medical insurance fund will pay in advance. After the basic medical insurance fund pays in advance, it has the right to recover from the third party.
